The ideal candidate is an energetic, forward-thinking, and creative individual. Solid business acumen, a strong results orientation and strong relationship skills are a must, as is an ability to work enthusiastically in a constantly changing environment. The successful candidate possesses the capacity to think strategically coupled with the abilities to excel operationally. The willingness to raise questions, the ability to provide solutions, an understanding of real teamwork, the thoughtfulness to reconsider positions, the confidence to advance new ones, the maturity to do all of the preceding with poise, and a real and sincere sense of humor are required.

Summary

The Market Communication Coordinator’s primary responsibility is supporting the partnership between Event 360’s Production Team and the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PanCAN) staff and volunteers, for all tasks surrounding the planning and execution of the PurpleStride event series.

PanCAN PurpleStride is a national fundraising event series taking place in 56 cities around the U.S. in 2025. All 56 events take place on the same day in April, an unprecedented feat in the world of event production. Event 360 has been partnered with PanCAN since 2021 to handle all aspects of pre-event planning and logistics—including securing event sites, booking vendors, planning walk routes, etc.—as well as maintaining strong and stellar communication with PanCAN staff and key volunteers, and executing all 56 events with virtual and in-person staffing support.

The Market Communications Coordinator will report directly to Event 360’s PurpleStride Account Manager and secondarily to Event 360’s Director of Production and PurpleStride Account Director. Working in tandem with another Coordinator, they will traffic communication between the Event 360 team and the PanCAN team, using email, phone/video conferencing, a shared resources website, and other means. They will also support the collection of data and input from both teams, organize that information to funnel it clearly and efficiently between parties, and produce key deliverables on a tight and demanding schedule.

The position is classified as exempt, and is home-office based, strategically located around the United States to meet the needs of the company. The position may require significant travel, in support of PurpleStride and/or other Event 360 projects (as needed).

Qualifications

Beyond a passion for event production and 3+ years of experience in client/volunteer relations and management, candidates should possess the following qualities:

  • You are a task master who thinks and behaves strategically: you’re equally comfortable focusing on strategic planning as you are rolling up your sleeves and executing those plans.
  • You are not afraid of failure: you believe in trying new things, testing them out and making judgments from there. You are comfortable with a certain level of uncertainty.
